Characters and Careers
This Guild only operates Interactive Servers.
If you want to play alone - please find another server.
Character Careers
Choose from any nationality, faction or alien race you like, and choose from a wide variety of character careers, such as one of these below, and play them out.
Players must role-play their characters - this means both doing and saying what the character
would do and say whenever possible.
You can register and operate up to 5 characters on our servers. Each character you operate should be different from the others.
To help you remember which character is what, use names that will remind you. You can also use one of many suffix tags (after your character's name) such as Wheeler[T] for your Trader, ManicMax[M] for your Mercenary, BoldBraggard[B] for your Buccaneer. See our Forum for a list of all the tags you can use.
Invent and learn one or two familiar phrases for each of your characters and use them often for that character, it helps tremendously. Try some out.
When discussing game-play out of character, let the other players know when you are not role-playing.
Bountied Fugitives
Bountied
Fugitives must register before prefixing their character, and must provide a photo and description of the crime
for which he / she is wanted, for the Bounty List.
The [FUGITIVE] prefix and bounty will be applied by a Guild Admin. The
bounty will be paid by the Guild to the successful killer only on production of
a Screen shot of the kill
as evidence. Unlisted Careers
If
you want to follow a career that is not listed then please give us a
description, we will add it here.

Description
|
Trader / Merchant
Suffix: [T]
|
You
constantly trade and work out the best trade routes, making a
good living but having to keep one eye open for trouble.
You usually team
up with a fellow trader for company on those lonely and hazardous routes. Sometimes you hire a
fighter escort for the more hazardous runs, and you occasionally
team up with the odd pirate or two for more lucrative (but less-lawful!) work, whilst
keeping a sharp and watchful eye on your reputation. |
Bounty Hunter / Hired Assassin
Suffix: [BH] |
You are a cold-blooded killer, you hunt down bountied criminals and other players with private bounties on them (a player can post a
bounty on another player by registering it with the Guild).
Your use of
the Rules of Engagement is a key and
imperative factor in keeping you off the Guild's own Bounty
List.
As word of
your prowess spreads, others will know who to contact for private bounties. But this is a risky business needing a fast,
manoeuvrable and well-equipped ship, and one
that doesn't earn you many friends.
|
Explorer / Researcher
Suffix: [X] |
You team up with others to cover greater areas faster, gathering information
on wrecks, systems, jump-hole and
jump-gate locations, commodities, ships and equipment prices,
etc. that you sell to paying clients.
You are a
valued adviser on routes, ships, weapons and equipment, your knowledge is your wealth.
|
Hired Transport / Courier
Suffix: [C] |
You hire your freighter and your services to paying clients, and carry their cargo or mined minerals for a fee.
Remember, you
need to know when and how to run - the danger may well be entirely
yours!
|
Freelancer (Escort / Mercenary)
Suffix: [E] or [M]
|
As in the game, you are for hire for any task that makes money.
Escort a trader, research a route, purchase a weapon or other equipment for a client, make a hit on a bountied player, be a paid mercenary and assist in a clan-war, teach a new player how to fight or trade - the universe is your oyster!
But - be careful out there, someone might place a bounty on you!
|
Buccaneer
Suffix: [B]
|
You are a law-breaker and a cold-blooded robber and killer, and you are hunted in many systems. But you are not altogether heartless nor unchivalrous.
When Buccaneering, you use the
Rules of Engagement and make reasonable demands.
You are proud of your reputation, so you regularly Buccaneer other players and make yourself known as a nuisance, and you sometimes take along a pupil or two too.
After all, Buccaneering is a gentlemanly art, to be passed on to others!
But you know you must also take the consequences for your actions!
|
Miner
|
You make your hard-earned living by mining out in the asteroid belts. With your knowledge of where the lodes are to be found, and your long experience, you scrape together a very reasonable living.
But the asteroid fields are a hiding place for countless pirates and lawless factions. You need to be
sure you have a good Freelancer escort with you or work in teams to carry on your work.
|
Pirate
Suffix: [P]
|
Pirates: basically, the scurvy thieves and vagabonds who spend most of their time hunting NPC's and who make traders' lives a misery. Since the much more well-paid [OUTLAW] characters have emerged there are fortunately fewer and fewer of these scoundrels to be seen in space.
|
Prefix [FUGITIVE]
|
Somehow, you
were framed. Or perhaps... was it that you actually did do something you later wished you had thought
out more carefully beforehand? Or were you simply born on the wrong
side of the wire?
Now you are on
every Bounty List, wanted by every
military force and every police unit throughout Sirius. Your name has been
electronically tagged with the [FUGITIVE] prefix and every would-be bounty
hunter in every system can see you on their scanners each time you leave
dock.
You need all
of your skills and wits about you. There is one very slim
chance of a pardon - the Guild may accept a payment of three
times the bounty to remove you from the bounty lists. But
there are no guarantees.
In the
meantime - what do you do to stay alive?
Prey
on law-abiding victims and blow any chance of a pardon?
Prey
on pirates and other criminals but get no recognition or pardon?
Or just...
pray?
|
Bountied Outlaw
Prefix: [OUTLAW]
|
You really were simply born on the wrong side of the wire!
Now you are wanted by every self-styled Bounty Hunter throughout Sirius. You are very proud of the initial $10 million Bounty that is automatically on your head! In the meantime - what do you do to stay alive?
You prey on unwary characters, and you are notorious for giving only a single warning before hitting your victim. After all, you are a blackguard at heart, but they should know, you are proud of the [OUTLAW] prefix you have tagged yourself with, and it is adequate warning to all who are in the same system. There is a $1 million bounty paid to you for each player kill, which you claim in the Forum for each kill you make.
And for every 10 kills, you smile when your bounty is raised by another $10 million! But who will finally claim you? Your death is final, no mercy will be shown when you are caught, my [OUTLAW] friend!
