AegirAegir – Even as his mythological Norse namesake, who from the mists of time forgotten ventured forth, the god of the sea, to face both good and bad, so Aegir regularly ventures forth to boldly go where no man has gone before, on long-term missions of exploration and research into the far reaches of the Sirius systems. The mythological Aegir brewed ale for the gods, and every winter the gods would drink beer at Aegir's home, so he was therefore famed for his hospitality, and gold was put onto the floor of the hall to provide light, instead of a fire. Gold was therefore called Aegir's fire. The cups in Aegir's hall were magical and always full, magically refilling themselves. And so this Aegir too is respected by many, and his way is lit and paved with gold earned from his endless discoveries, and his cup is always filled - mainly with Liberty Ale when he is "between jobs" as he carelessly spends some of his money buying drinks for old friends. |
